PROJECT SUMMARY:
Cyber-security has become a hot issue recently due to the high level of mobile usage among the millennial. Exposing itself to millions of cyber breaches everyday, universities are at the top target for cyber-criminals according to McMurdie C. However, this is quite a challenge topic since students are hard to change their habit of securing their own online information. For this project, we have conducted a survey along with academic research to understand the root of the problem. We find out that millennial tend to expose themselves online by giving away their private information easily for sales and discounts; using their personal details for every password. However, the survey also points out that students are fully aware of cyber criminals and do not want their personal information to be hacked or known by others. By looking into the data and survey, we found out the insight of our target audience and come up with a key message:
“You don’t expose yourself in public, why expose yourself online?"
SLOGAN:

With the purpose to change students’ behavior of protecting themselves online, this campaign will run from week 2 until the end of semester 1 2019.
